   My fellow Indians, plseae understand one thing…!India is a potential super-power (we are limping and crawling towards it…but all the same, we are going ahead). However, we do not produce a single commodity or service or product that will make us a super power. We don’t have Uranium for power generation, we don’t have oil for energy, we don’t build warplanes, we don’t build our own weapons, we are over-populated and under-educated and under-nourished. We don’t do research in infrastructure projects – telecommunication, IT, construction etc….Add to that our curse of extreme corruption. So all this dream of being a super-power is merely based on our purchasing power that we have – due to being a huge market and gaining a lot of foreign currency through our diaspora and BPO and IT outsourcing. That makes India vulnerable to interational blackmail. Its like – “…make concessions on Kashmir, only then will we give you Uranium and Oil”.This is the reason we hav to hang on to the double-dealing Americans and Europeans and Arabs. Our true friend from before – Soviet Union, no longer exists and Russia has its own problems. East Asia is too scared of China to blindly help us. Under these circumstances it is naive to expect the US to push Pakistan to act against India centric terror. INDIA DOES NOT CARRY MUCH DIPLOMATIC CLOUT!We have to accept this fact and fight our own battles. We have to develop our own research in weapons and energy sources. We have to build up our own intelligence network. Education for all, good governance and no corruption is what we need. We are a huge market, thats all!! Easy to push around, bully and manipulate. Corruption makes sure that foreign players are never punished – so they keep bullying and double-dealing with us. Its simple!!
